Goodbye and good luck to Drs Krista Loewen and Jacqueline Presslauer!

We said goodbye to our wonderful colleagues Dr Krista Loewen and Dr Jacqueline Presslauer this week and wish them the best of luck in their new clinic! They are moving to a temporary location at 7187 Lantzville Rd effective Dec.1st. For their patients - all appointments from here on out will be located at their new clinic, and bookings should be made by contacting them at 250-410-5174. It has been a true pleasure to work alongside them and we wish them all the best.

Please note that Dr Jared Mell has now relocated his practice to Caledonian Clinic. Any of his patients can book with him by calling 250-753-3202

Dr Krista Loewen and Dr Jacqueline Presslauer will also be leaving as of December 1, 2025. They are opening a new clinic alongside their new colleagues in Lantzville! Their patients may continue to book with them until November 30 as usual. After December 1 any booked appointments will continue at their new clinic. More information for their patients will become available in the coming weeks on how to book at their new location!

We are so excited for Jared, Krista, and Jacqueline and wish them all the best in their new endeavours!

Welcome to our new resident physicians July 1st!

Our new resident physicians Dr. Sophie Jansen and Dr. Aleksandra Petrovic have officially joined us at Family Practice.They will be with us for 2 years while they complete their training in Family Medicine. They join our other resident Dr. Ted Roh who is now in his final year of training. Please join us in welcoming them to our team!

Welcome Dr Rob Arr Woodward May 2025

We warmly welcome Dr Arr Woodward to our clinic. He and his young family have arrived from the UK and are looking forward to building their life here in Nanaimo.

We have Dr Matthew Lawley joining us this month. Dr Lawley is originally from Nanaimo, and has recently moved home with his young family after spending many years abroad in Australia. Please join us in welcoming him!

New Faces & Leaves September 2024

Please note Dr Loewen is currently on maternity leave, with a tentative return January 2025. We wish her and the family much love and congratulations on their latest addition.

We also wish to welcome Dr Isabelle Chaput, our previous family medicine resident who has now graduated and is covering Dr Loewen’s patient panel while she is away.

Our other new face is Dr Jared Mell, our newest physician who has arrived from Minnesota! He is looking forward to building his practice and calling Nanaimo home with his family.

We would like to say goodbye to Dr Shirin Madzjoub, Dr Diana Ruffell who have started their new clinic Thrive Family Health! We are so excited for them and wish them all the best in their new endeavour. Arisa (MOA) will be joining them in their new space!

We would also like to warmly welcome Dr Angela Barreto who has just joined us from Wallace Street Medical Clinic in August!
